Double Heart is a sound sculpture that collects the heartbeats of random people and transforms them into a collective soundscape. The architecture of the installation displays an organism that needs to absorb frequencies of our bodies to swing, vibrate, and sing its instrument. The pulse of two visitors is measured, processed, amplified, and reproduced in real-time revealing endless variability of rhythmic patterns. Their basic rhythm is the source of a joint beat that becomes the sound of a community.
